Shay Carmon and Ben Klinger have officially joined forces as , recently designing a series of simple but unique shelves. The materials are very basic — wood and steel, with the emphasis on how the books are placed on the shelf. Therefore, the shelves act more as exhibits rather than simply a place where books go to rest.
With no book supporters on the shelf, books tend to fall and create a domino effect. So is the Domina shelf — its wooden pieces have fallen on one another.
A pile of standby books is always established while waiting to be returned to the shelf. This is the shelf for those books.
Lean the shelf on the wall and the rules change: the supporters become the shelf surface and the timber holds the supporters.
Your favorite and beloved book receives the most unique place on the shelf. It doesn’t lie on the shelf but is held by it, suspended in the air, defying gravity.
